About Red Gum Test and Tag
Grounded in Safety. Built on Reliability.
Red Gum Test & Tag is a locally owned and operated business based in Armstrong Creek, providing professional electrical testing and tagging services across Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine.
Owned and operated by Nikki Dawson, Red Gum Test & Tag was built on a simple belief: electrical safety should be straightforward, practical and backed by clear documentation.
Before starting Red Gum Test & Tag, Nikki spent more than 15 years working in the events and audio-visual industry, regularly working with portable electrical equipment, temporary power distribution systems and high-current electrical installations. That experience provided a strong understanding of the importance of electrical safety, risk management and equipment compliance in busy working environments.
Today, Red Gum Test & Tag assists businesses of all sizes, from offices and accommodation providers through to workshops, construction sites and community organisations. Our focus is on providing reliable service, clear reporting and practical advice that helps businesses maintain safe workplaces with minimal disruption.
As a local business, we're committed to building long-term relationships based on trust, transparency and genuine customer service.

Our Acknowledgement of Country
We gather, live, and work on the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung People of the Kulin Nation, deeply acknowledging their ongoing custodianship of the skies, waterways, and land beneath our feet. We pay our respects to Wadawurrung Elders past, present, and emerging, and honour their enduring cultural connection to Country.
Our local landscape holds a deep history and we particularly recognise Biyal-a, the traditional name for this area, which connects the Armstrong Creek valley. It translates to 'place of many red gums' and carries the poetic meaning that 'red gums speak lots of stories.'
